Kenya has a total of 47 counties in total. Each county is assigned a unique code number that is identified with. All the 47 counties are headed by the county governors. Mombasa is county 01 while Nairobi county is county 47. They also have county headquarters. We take a look of all the counties in Kenya.
County governments were established in all 47 counties [5] after the general elections in March 2013. The counties' names are set out in the First Schedule of the Constitution. Under the new constitution, Kenya is now divided into 47 counties for administrative purposes.
