Today the IBEW’s 881 local unions represent over 750,000 members across the United States, Canada, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Safety: Our entire construction membership holds an OSHA 10-hour certification and more than 70 percent, including all site managers, hold an OSHA 30-hour certification.
The IBEW Government Affairs Department is committed to advancing the IBEW’s mission and improving the lives of all members through supporting education, advocacy, mobilization, public policy, and legal and administrative action.
Like a full-ride scholarship, IBEW Apprenticeship education is paid for by the Labor/Management relationship between the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the National Electrical Contractors Association. Apprentices graduate debt-free. All IBEW Local Unions offer apprenticeships.
