The Delaware Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) has been activated at an Enhanced Watch level since Friday morning in advance of the upcoming winter snowstorm and is slated for Full Activation beginning Sunday morning at 8:00 am.
MUNCIE, Ind. — Delaware County officials have issued a travel advisory Saturday afternoon as deteriorating road conditions and a surge in crashes strain first responders as the continuing winter storm slams the area. The advisory, a yellow status, is the lowest of the county’s travel warning levels.
Abandoned or broken-down vehicles block plows, slow emergency response, and make roads more dangerous for everyone. To keep streets clear and allow crews to safely remove snow, any abandoned or disabled vehicle left on roadways may be towed.
