Open the MDOC OTIS website. Search by name or MDOC number, then apply filters such as active, inactive, or supervision type. Open the matching profile to view custody location, status, sentence information, supervision details, and aliases.

Welcome to the Michigan Department of Corrections searchable database, which we call OTIS - the Offender Tracking Information System. This advisory is intended to help you use OTIS, understand how the information is presented and what it means.

Information about anyone who has been arrested and convicted but not yet sentenced. Information about prisoners in county jails or city lockups, or about offenders who were sentenced to jail only. Jails are operated by counties. State prisons are operated by the MDOC.

The MDOC will correct information on OTIS, if directed by the sentencing court through a court order or through the supervising agent. To verify a person's identity, please contact the Michigan State Police.
