The Frederick City Police Department (FPD) is a law enforcement organization that provides police services to the city of Frederick, Maryland, the second-largest city in that state.

As such, Patrol is the largest function of the Police Department. The patrol function is covered by two Patrol Divisions, each with three Patrol Squads. All Patrol Squads are staffed by a Sergeant, a Corporal, and eight to 12 Officers. Generally, when citizens need police assistance, Patrol Officers handle these calls. Patrol duties include:
