Hartselle is the second largest city in Morgan County, Alabama, United States, 13 miles (21 km) south of Decatur. It is part of the Decatur Metropolitan Area and the Huntsville-Decatur Combined Statistical Area.

Hartselle is located approximately 10 miles south of Decatur, Alabama. The city was founded when the North and South Alabama railroads came to the region in around 1870, and it is named after one of the railroad owners, George Hartselle.
