The lengthy trailer reintroduces Goth's Maxine as she attempts to become a movie star in 1980s LA. However, she is not only haunted by her violent past but she is stalked by a mysterious figure who may be the real-life serial killer, the Night Stalker.

Titled MaXXXine, the movie will take place after the events of 2022's X and will follow Mia Goth 's Maxine as the sole survivor of the farmhouse massacre that took place in the original film.
