Carroll Hall Shelby ( – ) was an American automotive designer, racing driver, and entrepreneur. Shelby was involved with the AC Cobra and Mustang for the Ford Motor Company. With driver Ken Miles, he developed the Ford GT40, the car that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966, 1967, 1968, and 1969.

He was best known for his involvement with the ac cobra and later the mustang based performance cars for ford motor company known as Shelby mustangs. Which he had modified during the late 1960 and early-2000.
