The following is a list of ethnic slurs, ethnophaulisms, or ethnic epithets that are, or have been, used as insinuations or allegations about members of a given ethnic, national, or racial group or to refer to them in a derogatory, pejorative, or otherwise insulting manner.

During the era of intensified European colonial and imperial expansion in the 19th century, ethnic slurs proliferated as tools to dehumanize indigenous and enslaved populations, rationalizing conquest, resource extraction, and forced labor systems.

Racial slurs are usually created and used primarily by the dominant racial group in society. A variety of sociopolitical circumstances govern the creation and duration of racial slurs.

For the purposes of this list, an ethnic slur is a term or word [s] used to insult on the basis of race, ethnicity, or nationality. Each term is listed followed by its country or region of usage, a definition, and a reference to that term.
